Our Yin Yoga training program is open to everyone who would like to understand and experience the benefits of a reflective practice entwined with meditation and gentle breath work. It will help you truly experience what it feels like to embody “yin”. Whether you’re looking to teach and guide others after the training or not, this program encourages you to experience the first-hand effects to empower you to speak from your own personal felt sense. The course will give you the tools to help you feel lighter guiding you along your inner peaceful landscape.
• Yin Practice – Introduction to the history and lineage
• Four fundamental stage of a yin pose
• Seven major chakras
• Principle Yin poses and their variations
• Target areas of these yin postures
• Creative ways of using props to support each postures
• The subtle art of crafting thoughtful Yin yoga classes
• The language of yin and teaching a well structured class
• Use of pranayama and meditation tools to deep
• Overview of the 5 element and meridian theory as taught in Traditional Chinese medicine
• Understanding individual bone structure (compression) and specific muscular, ligament and fascial tissues (tension)
This course is open for everyone who wishes to learn more about Yin yoga. It is also directed towards yoga teachers who are already 200 or 300 hour Yoga Alliance certified or those currently undergoing a YA Teacher Training who would like to provide Yin yoga classes.
WHAT WILL I GET AT THE END OF THE COURSE:
You’ll be offered a certificate of completion. If you have a 200 hrs or 300 hrs Yoga Teacher Training certificate, you will be awarded with Continuing Education credits with Yoga Alliance. You can also use this certification to renew your UAE REPS registration.
WHO WILL BE TEACHING THE COURSE:
Diana Azavedo is the lead teacher trainer and has been teaching yoga for over a decade in Dubai & previously in India. She holds the designation of an (experienced) E RYT-500 hr mark with Yoga Alliance and has a Masters Degree in the Science & Philosophy of Yoga from an esteemed university in India. Diana is deeply passionate about creating a sacred, supportive and learning space for anyone who has a curious mind to learn more about Yoga. This reflects in the several glowing feedback, reviews and testimonials received from our previous trainees. She is our lead trainer for the 100hr, foundational 200hr, advanced 300hr and 85 hr Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training programs and is wholly dedicated to the school and an active participant in furthering yoga education. When not in training, Diana hosts luxury yoga retreats and holidays around the world. Also, she up-skills her own practice and knowledge on a regular basis by indulging in advanced trainings and workshops. This wealth of knowledge is brought into the trainings and shared with her trainees providing for a great learning framework.
We understand that you may miss a theory lecture class; in which case you must register for a make up class and we can schedule in a best suited time. The class will be taught by me, irrespective of the subject teacher. These are only applicable for the theory classes missed.
